Water & Spirit // The 1st and 2nd Man // The First and Last Adam
“But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground, And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:6-7. This verse shows how Adam was made. By water, earth, and the Spirit from the living God Himself. Notice how the verse starts off with the mist going all over the earth. God in His divine wisdom did not want anyone but Himself to know the blueprint of Man. The mist was so thick that it watered the whole face of the ground, and then God began to start making his creation. “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily; I say unto thee. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” John 3:3. “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John 3:5. The sixth and seventh verse in Genesis Chapter 2 explains why Jesus said these two verses here in the book of John. This process of being born again is how Adam was created, by water, from earth, and God’s spirit. Since we are already flesh (earth), we must be born again by accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior (water), but also, receiving the Holy Spirit (spirit) that only Jesus Christ can give someone. Some signs of knowing the Holy Spirit dwells within you is that the Holy Spirit comes into your heart, and there is a voice from within that tells you things that you could not know of unless it was told to you. (So, if you want to engage with the Holy Spirit you need to ask in prayer for the Lord Jesus Christ to settle in your heart, so He will always be on your mind.) “And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.” 1 Corinthians 15:45. So, after God created Adam, Adam became a living soul. After God raised Jesus Christ from the dead. He became a quickening spirit. 🕊️Both were born, but Jesus was born again. “The first man is of the earth: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.” 1 Corinthians 15:47-50. So, it explains here in this verse plainly that Adam was of the earth and that is where he returned because of his disobedience to God. The second man is the Lord from heaven. That means that Jesus was once a “Son of God”. The Son(s) of God, if you pay close attention to scripture, are the Holy angels in Heaven. Jesus Christ humbled himself to become a Son of man, came to earth in the form of a man -- but being a God at the same time - - died for our sins, rose again, and went back to Heaven. I have a saying that I remind myself; 🤞🏽‘Spirit speaks to Spirit, and the Flesh speaks to the Flesh’. Now the reason why flesh and blood cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven is because the human body does not last forever. It breaks down, decomposes, and withers with age. The Spirit can live forever because it comes from the living God Himself, who is a Spirit. The flesh is incomplete and therefore unholy. The Spirit of the new man is completely made new in the Lord Jesus Christ. “This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.” 1 John 5:6. John the Baptist gives you a surprising revelation. Pay attention to how he lets us know that Jesus Christ’s birth as a man was by water and blood. Mary and Joseph born Jesus. Remember that the Spirit is truth because the Spirit keeps a record of what takes place in the earth and in heaven. The three that have record of all earth and heaven are these three: the Father → the Spirit // the Word → the Water // and the Holy Ghost → the Blood. Understand this… Water is a conduit. A conduit is defined as “a person or an organization that acts a channel for the transmission of something”. If the Lord Jesus Christ is the water and the Holy Ghost is the blood that bears record in heaven and earth, and if Jesus Christ gives people eternal life, and as we discovered the blood of a being is therefore it’s life, then when we receive the Holy Ghost, we have officially adopted the life of Christ. That is why Jesus says, “Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation. Because they said. He hath an unclean spirit.” Mark 3:28-30. To further explain this and to conclude this section, if you blaspheme the Holy Ghost, you are severing yourself from eternal life and there is absolutely no redemption from this (i.e. the Body of Christ). Just like when you cut a blood vessel; there’s no coming back from that…
