Psalm 119 Prayer

Dear Lord, my wonderful master,

Allow me to become blameless before you. Teach me your holy laws so that I will keep them attached to my heart. Allow me to fully obey your decrees, precepts, and rules. Teach me your standards and how to uphold them in my life. Let me praise your holy name in a joyous manner. Lead the way as I follow you and you alone. Settle in my heart, so I will always have you on my mind. Allow me to understand all of your commandments. Allow me the chance to follow them diligently. I will be joyous in your laws and I will teach them to others deliberately, whether by my actions or by your words. Your general rule will be upheld in my life because it will bring me joy and does not make me dull.

Dear Lord, my wonderful teacher,

Teach me the ways of your laws. They mean the world to me. They have kept me from harm. Even though it was right to judge me, and to chastise me, and to correct me, your wing of protection has saved me, because your commandments are in my heart and I obey them with fervency and awareness. Those that are against you will perish, but those that love you are set high where you can see them. Allow me, O Lord to humble myself to follow your commands. To strengthen and be renewed in your spirit daily. When I follow your laws, all things you choose to reveal are shown to me. My eyes and ears are open to you, my heart is your place to remain in me. When I am low and sorrowful, your word will uplift me, and I am grateful for it. Your laws are worth more than gold, your statutes are my daily bread and wine. Wisdom is the breath of your power, and you share and divide it to those who are worthy of it. I will meditate and ponder on the Word of God, so that it will create a path in the wilderness and a light in the darkness. I am the lose sheep and I have been found again. Rejoice O Lord for you have saved me yet again, because of your grace and mercies that are brand new everyday. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!
