New Bread and New Wine
“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it, for this is my blood, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Matthew 26:26-28. When Jesus broke bread at the last supper, the bread is the Word of God personified, which is Jesus Christ’s body. He broke the bread for different reasons. One reason is because of his body being broken and battered during his crucifixion. Another reason is because when you read the Word of God, you must break it down in pieces so that you can fully digest and ingest the Word of God, which is good for your soul. When he told them to drink the wine that he shared, that was in representation of Jesus’ blood, the only thing that can atone for the sins of all men, which is still alive. “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward a hungered. And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:1-4. When Jesus was being tempted in the wilderness, he told the devil that “man shouldn’t eat on bread alone but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God”, therefore signaling that 🍞 the Word of God is bread (food) to the spirit. And Jesus Christ’s blood is the atonement made between man’s spirit and the Heavenly Father YAH paid for by Jesus Christ His son. Also, in the scripture, pay attention to how the devil addresses Jesus. He calls him the Son of God, and through proper Bible study you’ll realize that a Son of God is referred to the Holy angels. What that means is Jesus was once a Holy angel himself that humbled himself and became a man to save God’s people and those who cling unto him. “Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest, eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll. And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.” Ezekiel 3:1-3. Furthermore, Ezekiel the prophet was being prepared by God to speak out to the nation of Israel, there is a verse in his book where Ezekiel must eat a roll. And when he did eat it, he stated that it was like honey in his mouth. This, I believe, is a spiritual experience and not an earthly one. This Old Testament is a support for the how the Word of God is good for our spirit-man. We love the taste of honey, the same love that we have for our indulgences should be the same for the Word of God. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” John 1:1-2. “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:9. So, if Ezekiel the prophet did eat a roll from God and John the Baptist said that Jesus Christ is the word made manifest, then when we read and study the Holy Bible and the books thereof, we are spiritually partaking God’s word, which is alluded to bread, strengthening us in the Spirit, and cultivating a Mind like Christ. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 2:5. The blood is used to wash away your sins and the bread is to renew you inside (the mind) first then outside (until this body gives out and we are all rewarded a new body like Christ at the end of days).
Flesh and Blood
“Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.” John 6:53-56. To receive eternal life is by continuously reading the Word of God and receiving (taking the cup) and engaging (drinking the cup) with the Holy Spirit. The flesh = the Word of God, the blood = the Holy Spirit/Ghost. “And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.“ Acts 2:4. “And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.” Acts 2:12-13. Didn’t Jesus break bread and gave wine to his disciples at the last supper? The Bible makes no mistake in the words that it chooses. Those people who were amazed at the power of the Holy Ghost alluded to the men being drunk of new wine. Didn’t Jesus give us a parable about old and new wine skins? “And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine will burst the bottles, and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish. But new wine must be put into new bottles; and both preserved. No man also having drunk old wine straightway desireth new: for he saith, The old is better.” Luke 5:37-39. So, the men in the Book of Acts under the power of the Holy Spirit were alluded to being drunk on new wine. This “new wine” is the blood of Christ Jesus which is the Holy Ghost. You can’t put wine in old wine skins because it won’t hold properly and eventually will burst. Same way you can’t tell someone who was once saved about the new covenant, because they can’t perceive the power of the Holy Ghost and will forsake it altogether.
Below are some verses to help you understand what the Body of Christ is:
Romans 12:4-5, Ephesians 4:16, Colossians 1:18, 1 Corinthians 12:12, 1 Corinthians 12:27-28, Ephesians 4:11-12, and Ephesians 5:30.
If there is a body of Christ, and this body are the members of His church, then what is the blood that flows through this body of Christ, connecting each member of His church? Answer: The Holy Ghost. “And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.” Luke 12:10. I believe the reason why Jesus said that whoever blasphemes the Holy Ghost will never be forgiven is because it is like cutting an artery inside your body which will surely end your life. And cutting off the Holy Ghost is like disconnecting from eternal life.
