Be Like Jesus

🍇 The Fruit of the Spirit are the characteristics of the Lord Jesus Christ. The works of the flesh are the sacrifice and worship of the Red Dragon.

“But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are made manifest, which are these, Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:18-21.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23.

Scripture That Shows Jesus’ Characteristics Along with the Fruit of the Spirit

A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples. If ye have love one to another.” John 13:34-35. Love - According to the Bible, love is selfless, sacrificial, unconditional commitment to the well-being of others, steadfast, endurance, patient, kind, and not jealous. Jesus says here “as I have loved you” indicating that himself Jesus shows love to those who he came to save and more. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” John 15:11. “And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.” John 17:13. Joy - Inner contentment and satisfaction. Jesus says in these two scriptures “My joy” and he says this twice. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27. Peace - Freedom from disturbance; mental calm; a state of wholeness, completeness, and well-being. Jesus repeats himself 3 times indicating that true peace comes from him, and it remains with him, and he is the one that gives it which is heavenly peace. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? Bring him hither to me.” Matthew 17:17. Long-suffering - Having patience in spite of troubles especially those caused by other people. The definition matches exactly what Jesus is saying and showing in this scripture. Despite him making an observation and comment on that generation, he still decided to help them out. “And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.” Mark 6:34. Gentleness- The quality of being kind, tender or mild-mannered. The keyword here in this verse is “compassion” and it can be alluded to gentleness. He was gentle with multiple people in multiple times. “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:22-23. Faith _ Complete trust, confidence, and a strong belief in the Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ accompanied by love. (I wrote this definition myself.) Faith is a whole other teaching, but Jesus explains in this scripture the benefits of having the gift of faith which moves things spiritually and earthly through the power of YAH and YAH only. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” Matthew 11:29. Meekness – Another word for submissiveness. And Jesus was only meek to his Father in Heaven. “And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Matthew 4:3-4. Temperance – The quality of moderation or self-restraint; selfcontrol. 💪 Those who have great restraint, have great power. Choosing not to act on something, even when you know without a doubt that you can do it, is great power.

“If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:25-26. The Kingdom of Heaven is in the highest point of the Spiritual realm, and God is the owner of it all. 😶‍🌫️ If we walk in the Spirit, we should understand that it operates on authority. You need to humble yourself if you want to walk in the Spirit because the Spirit is heavy and our bodies our corruptible, meaning it can breakdown with little to no effort. Therefore, Apostle Paul explains that once the anointing is upon you, you should stay away from the desire to be famous or rich when walking in the Spirit, including all sins, undefiled, and impurities. 🪜 No amount of fame and glory is worth stepping away from Heaven. Do not provoke your brothers and sisters in the Faith because they also had to go through a process which brought them low to be raised high in the Kingdom of Heaven. You should also not envy your Spiritual family because you don’t know what they had to go through to get what they have in the name of the Lord. “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.” Romans 6:11-12. ⚰️ Death is separation from life and in this verse, Apostle Paul is saying that we need to separate ourselves from sin, being dead to it. 🧵Be alive unto God by hanging on the garment of Jesus Christ our Lord. Sin is a feral beast that is conceived (come alive) and fed throughout our lives. And while in that process of growth, sin will subdue you like a wrestler in a match. When it pins you down and you submit to it, it now has rulership (reign) over you. If you let sin inhabit a part of your limbs or eyes or ears, it will continue to poke at the lust that you collected so you can obey it. 🗣️The enemy gives you suggestions, the Lord gives you commandments. “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.” Romans 6:14-15. Don’t be a servant to sin, but separate yourself from it, by repentance and to literally neglect it forever more. 😫Being under grace is a privilege and it can be revoked if you don’t handle it properly. “But now being made free from sin, and became servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:22-23. Apostle Paul brings this in full circle by mentioning having your fruit unto holiness. By becoming a servant of God, what you do here on earth by being akin to Jesus Christ, you will develop the fruit of the spirit, which once it is partaking of, leads unto Holiness. Apostle Paul cleverly intertwines the “servant” and “wages” theme of this verse, basically saying that if you serve God your reward is everlasting life, but if you serve sin your reward is death.
