The Book of Romans by Apostle Paul:
A Deeper Look into Faith Part 1
Chapter 5
Chapter 5
Romans 5:1-5
Where there is judgment comes justification, and if you believe in Jesus, you are justified by the faith that you have in him. If the wrath of God is hanging over your head ready to drop and smash you, Jesus Christ is there to stand over you and let the judgment fall on him who is strong enough to take it because of his life as a man with no sin and being full of the Spirit. And through this faith, we then obtain peace with God, because the wrath of God was over us, and through our faith in the gospel of Jesus, we are saved from the wrath and now obtain peace with the Heavenly Father. Grace gives us the ability to stand, which means enduring our problems here on earth. A person who sins a lot has it easy in their life here on earth. The reason why I say this is because a person who has it easy in life here on earth is rewarded with all that this world has to offer. But a person who chooses to live a righteous lifestyle and believes in YAH, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are troubled mostly throughout their lives here on earth (and sometimes they even lose their life because of their faith). For those who are not oblivious to this world, there is a clear sign that there is a battle between good and evil. You have two kingdoms, the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of darkness. These two kingdoms act like businesses. The kingdom of heaven is in the business of holiness, and the kingdom of darkness is in the business of sin. The reason why Jesus said on multiple occasions that the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed in the parables that he spoke, is because Jesus Christ is a practical man and he knows based on reality that the kingdom of heaven is but for a few. If you are singled-out and outcasted, it can be hard for you to survive on earth because we grow and are strong in numbers. I can cut this idea in many slices, but to conclude what I am getting at is found in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. Your faith in God can only produce the works of God and your faith in the devil can only produce the works of the flesh. Amen. The kingdom of heaven is like a business and the access card to get into the building is Grace. Faith is the door that you walk through, and the CEO of this company is Jesus Christ. Paul then explains what this faith does for us as we build it over time like steps or a ladder. We glorify God in our tribulations because those who believe in Him knows what is being constructed over the time of our faith. These are the building blocks of faith listed in the following verses: patience, experience, hope. In faith we are patient for the Lord’s return. In faith, we experience what the world has to offer which is death and see what the name of Jesus does to the saved and un-saved. In faith, we have hope of the salvation of the Lord and his promises that he has stated in the four gospels. These three building blocks make us not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it keeps those who believe in Him rooted in what he taught and how he lived.
Romans 5:6-11
Apostle Paul brings up a good point for the church to understand greatly. He notates that no person would die for a righteous man and no person would even dare to die for a good man. So, Christ died for the ungodly, because those are the ones who need to overcome and be brought to repentance. If a weed is growing near your plant, wouldn’t you root it out to save the entire plant from corruption? This is what Christ did for us, he saves men from being casted away from God forever, by taking something that is not worthy and making it worthy. If you have a bug infestation in your home (soul), Christ’s blood is the anti-bug spray to get rid of the infestation in your home (soul). Reconciliation with YAH is the goal, but we are no longer able to access Him on account of our sins and transgression against the law. Since the law has been fulfilled through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we now have access to grace (which is Jesus) to get to Heaven through him by the faith we have in him. Paul says that we were enemies of God because we were unrighteous towards Him. We did not believe in Him, and we turned our backs against Him, and in order to reconcile with Him, we need to believe in the Gospel of Jesus, repent, and turn away from our sins. And the joy comes from salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:12-21
In verse twelve, Paul explains that because Adam disobeyed God’s command not to eat of the fruit from the tree in the mist of the Garden of Eden, that one man’s sin was carried and passed and multiplied throughout generations of everyone on earth until the time of Moses. When Moses was raised up and anointed to carry the children of Israel out of Egypt, he was given the law for the affairs of the children of Israel. The phrase ‘Sin is not imputed where there is no law,’ means that someone cannot be responsible for the debt that they owe to God for the transgression of His law if there is no law. And since Adam sinned and introduced death into the world, even if some people after Adam did not sin, they still died on account of one man’s sin entering the world, so death overtook them. In verse fifteen, what Paul is saying is, if it only took one man to sin and the sin and death increased in the earth, then the grace which is by Jesus Christ being one man who died for all sins, grace can increase in the earth for those who choose to walk in righteousness and have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. In verse sixteen, Paul is helping us to understand that one sin was accounted for condemnation, which brought us all judgment. But for one man’s death and resurrection, grace covers all sins much more than the sin covering all condemnation and judgment for our unrighteous acts towards YAH. Through one man’s sin we receive death, but through one man’s righteousness, we receive Grace. And Grace is much more plentiful than sin.
