The Book of Romans by Apostle Paul:
A Deeper Look into Faith Part 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Romans 2:1-4
All people are without excuse when it comes to who YAHWEH is. There is evidence of Adonai in all things. So, if we judge another by their unrighteousness and ungodliness that they do, we condemn ourselves as well because we all have done something that is the opposite of God’s nature. But those who retain the knowledge of God knows that his judgment is based on truth, and truth is the same as it were in the beginning and even until the end. That is why in the books of the prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel, after most of the prophecies were declared with judgments in them, God stated that he will perform these judgments so that at the end of it they will know that He is the Lord God of Israel. If the Bible had a central theme, it will be faith. And the main character in the Bible is Jesus Christ. In verses three and four of the second chapter, Paul asks two questions that we should consider why the wrath of God is without reason. Paul asks that if all of us do unrighteous things and ungodly things, even when we judge one another for it, why can’t we be judged by The Almighty God when it is all said done? How can we as people judge other people but not expect the Creator of All Things to judge everything and everyone? And in verse four, he follows up with the question that if we do not agree with YAH’s everlasting goodness, patience, and endurance with us being wicked, not knowing that God’s character of goodness, patience, and endurance leads us to repentance. Paul is helping us to understand that because God has the right to end all things whenever He pleases (because He is God), he continues to give us a chance to make it right towards him by repentance and turning away from ungodliness and unrighteousness.
Romans 2:5-11
Verse five and six shows us that in the end, God will bring an account of everything that we have done on earth and judge it according to his truth which is set in the Holy Bible and the Heavenly tablets. The heart is like a treasure chest in which we store up things we love and keep it hidden from a public view. God has the key to all hearts and unlocks all secrets that men try to keep in the darkness. If there is evil in the heart, then the wrath of God is hanging over that person. Paul does this kind of pendulum swing between those who work unrighteousness and righteousness. Some people who do work unrighteousness are contentious (which means argumentative) and do not want to obey the laws God has set or the ways of the Lord Jesus Christ. No man can withstand the waves of judgment. Another interesting thing I see in these scriptures is that the Jew will be judged first and then the Gentile. Which means the Jew is the leader of what is established here in the Holy Bible and in the church and the Jew are supposed to set the example for the Gentile to then follow and try their best to be righteous according to the Jew’s examples. And to bring YAH back to the center of both the Jew and Gentile, Apostle Paul explains clearly that God will judge all from Jew to Gentile and everyone else in between.
Romans 2:12-16
Apostle Paul begins to break down why the law was passed and why we all will be judged according to everything we have done or said. In a prophecy given to us by Celestial the prophetess, she taught us that the Law of God are boundaries. If you step outside of a boundary then you are in the danger zone. Verse twelve tells us that those who have sinned outside the law will perish without the law. So, let’s say God says, “Liars, come forth! Go into the lake of fire.” Those who have attached themselves to a lie will go along with it into the lake of fire, guilty by association. Regardless of you knowing that the lie was a lie or not, you imparted yourself to that act, and therefore you are now guilty by association. That is what Paul means when he says you will be judged outside the law. Now, for those who do know the law, you will also be judged, because you stepped outside the law (boundary) that you knew was there in the first place. But the process will be different. Instead of being guilty by associations, you will be seated in the courts of heaven and read your charge before God and the elders. Depending on how you live your life and what you say is what you will receive at the end of your judgment. That is why Jesus Christ is so important to be your Lord and Savior. Because if He is and you have proclaimed that with your mouth and actions, then his blood is like a shield that protects your case, because Jesus is the only exception in Heaven and in Earth and under the Earth. Amen. Verse thirteen through fifteen takes a deeper look into the mechanism of the Gentiles and their stance on how the law is operable according to them. To be clear, Gentiles are those who practice paganism. Most people automatically think these are Edomites, which is true, but anybody can be a pagan worshipper. So, Paul wants us to know that those who hear the law of God are just (righteous) before Him. Knowing what we should and should not do is what keeps us from the error of our ways, but Paul brings a contingent to the law by saying that those who do the law are also justified before God, even if they haven’t heard the law beforehand. If a Gentile does the law but has never heard of the law, then that is accounted to them as one who knows the law as well. Their hearts have the law and just like we explained earlier that the heart is like a treasure chest and how God has the key to every heart, the law is now in effect for the Gentile because they chose to retain the knowledge of God in their minds as well, which is bearing witness (recording) everything we do here on earth. Verse fifteen says ‘the secrets of men’ and like how a treasure chest or a vault keeps our very close and personal things out of sight, God will unlock those secrets and reveal them to us to judge them according by the gospel given to us by Jesus Christ through the apostleship of Paul.
Romans 2:17-23
Paul wants to make sure that the Jews who proclaim the law and set boundaries on the church and the people by continually bringing into remembrance of the law that those who do this are following every bit of the law as well. The Torah has 614 laws in it, and if you live by all those laws, you will be judged for all 614 of those laws line by line, precept by precept.
Romans 2:24-29
In verse twenty-four, the reason why Paul says that the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through the Jews is because those who teach the whole law, but do not follow every law that they shove unto others, make a mockery of God and are hypocrites as Jesus explains in Matthew Chapter 24. The reason for circumcision back when Abraham was alive was because God needed to mark Abraham as righteous for believing in Him wholeheartedly because of the promise and covenant between YAH and Abraham. Faith (in the Spirit) is like a bank account in the Kingdom of Heaven, and grace is the currency that God gives us to perform the Fruits of the Spirit and the works of God. Once again, faith is a badge of honor in the Kingdom of Heaven, and grace is the force that pushes us to continue in our faith that we give unto God. Therefore, Paul brings the idea of circumcision into fruition stating that it is truly worth it, if a person keeps the whole 614 laws in the Torah. But if only one law is broken, then that circumcision profits nothing and is no longer accounted for as righteousness. So, Paul asks another question… If the uncircumcised person is keeping the law already, shouldn’t they be counted as a circumcised person too? Paul answers his own question by explaining that no matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile by appearance, if you are a Jew (a true follower of Christ) at heart, then it doesn’t matter what you look like, worshipping God on the inside and outside and following every commandment is what is most important than disguising yourself as one who lives righteously. Because those who appear to be a follower of Christ wants the worship and praise of men. But those who perform righteous acts and live according to the Word of God, praise and worship God in spirit and in truth.
